Job Title: Legal Assistant/Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Manage and organize files effectively to support ongoing legal cases and ensure easy accessibility of documents.
- Assist with client communication, ensuring that interactions are handled professionally and that client inquiries are addressed promptly.
- Edit and format documents to conform to the law firm and legal styles, ensuring consistency and professionalism in all legal documentation.
- Monitor emails to identify scheduling needs and other tasks required to support attorneys efficiently.
- Schedule meetings with attorneys and clients, coordinating times that accommodate all parties involved.
- Calendar legal dates and deadlines to ensure all legal proceedings and obligations are met in a timely manner.
- Assist with administrative tasks and special or miscellaneous projects as needed to support the overall function of the law firm.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience working in a law office, with a focus on estate planning, trust administration, and Probate.
- The ability to receive and relay detailed information through both verbal and written communications is essential.
- Candidates should be able to communicate in a professional manner by telephone and email, maintaining the law firm's reputation for professionalism and client care.
- The role requires the ability to review and analyze complex written documents, using fine visual discretion when proofreading and viewing information on a computer screen.
- Effective communication skills, both in person and in writing, are critical to ensure clear and concise interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Candidates must demonstrate the capability to follow up and follow through on tasks and projects to completion, ensuring all responsibilities are met diligently.
