Job Title: Legal Secretary
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with clerical tasks such as drafting and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and memos.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
- Maintain and organize legal files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys when necessary.
Education and Experience Information:
- Ideal candidates should have 5+ years of law firm experience.
- Proven experience as a legal secretary.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficient in electronic document management systems and file organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong proofreading skills.
Salary Information:
- The law firm offers a competitive salary based on years of experience and a full benefits package.
- Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm.
Additional Information:
- Candidates should have a typing speed of 70 wpm and excellent computer skills.
- Experience in time entry, preparing subpoenas, and e-filing in State and Federal courts.
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills are required.
- Candidates must have strong organizational skills with good attention to detail.
