Job Title: Senior Manager, Construction Claims

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Executive Claims Examiners handling high exposure construction claims, including those involving bodily injury, property damage, and construction defects.
- Report to a Director in the Casualty Construction group, conveying organization objectives and measuring progress towards goals.
- Monitor and direct new loss assignments for construction claims.
- Confirm coverage of claims by reviewing policies and supporting documents.
- Review and approve correspondence and reports, including coverage position letters and Large Loss Reports.
- Review and approve reserves and settlements beyond the authority of handling specialists.
- Assess and evaluate individual examiner and team performance, providing feedback and addressing training needs.
- Recommend reserve changes to Director or Senior Management.
- Participate in discussions of large loss activity with stakeholders such as Underwriting, Actuarial, and Executive Management.
- Ensure adherence to Fair Claims Practices regulations and internal performance objectives.
- Prepare and distribute reports by collecting and summarizing information.
- Assist in budget preparation, expense evaluation, and resource needs assessment.
- Foster relationships with internal stakeholders, including Underwriting and Actuarial departments.
- Assist in identifying industry and coverage trends.
- Promote relationships with customers and channel partners.
- Participate in special projects as requested.
- Travel to other claim offices, mediations, trials, and conferences as required.

Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- JD, advanced degree, or focused technical degree preferred.
- Must have or be eligible to receive a claims adjuster license.
- Insurance certifications or affiliation with industry groups preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of claims handling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in managing claims examiners at the Senior Claims Examiner and/or Executive Claims Examiner level is required.

Salary Information:
- The base salary for the position is $110,500 - $184,100 with a 30% bonus potential.
- The salary is based on factors such as job-relevant education, experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.
