Defense Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of defense litigation matters. Perform duties with accuracy, quality and integrity. Handle simultaneous projects, effectively multi-tasking and remaining flexible to last-minute changes. Work in a team environment, while maintaining a pleasant disposition. Work independently while using appropriate level of discretion to complete projects/assignments as directed. Assist with case management. Organize and electronically file pleadings.

The candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed. Must have ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and take proper precautions to protect information electronically and physically. Should have strong technological skills to include: research using internet and legal search systems, such as, Westlaw; ability to electronically organize and manipulate documents; ability to effectively manage calendars; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Should have strong organization and prioritization skills. Must have ability to professionally, and effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Should be detail oriented. Must have thorough knowledge of legal principles, research techniques, legal terminology, and medical terminology. Should have strong interpersonal skills. Should have Associate Degree. Should have Paralegal Certification. Bachelor's degree a plus. Should have 1+ years' experience as Litigation Paralegal.
