Job Title: Seattle Patent Agent

Job Responsibilities:
The Seattle Patent Agent will support lawyers in patent prosecution matters by performing a variety of tasks essential to the patent process. These tasks include analyzing invention disclosures, conducting patent searches, and drafting patent applications. The agent is responsible for preparing office action responses and generating other necessary documents to support patent prosecution. Additional responsibilities may include working closely with and under the supervision of lawyers to support patent litigation, conducting due diligence, and assisting with other legal activities. Specific duties are as follows:

- Drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Communicating with clients regarding patent-related issues.
- Analyzing scientific or technical documents, including previously published patent documents, to assess an invention or issued patent.
- Preparing information disclosure statements, declarations, and other patent prosecution-related materials.
- Managing a . and foreign patent prosecution docket to ensure deadlines are met.
- Conducting interviews with examiners at the USPTO.
- Keeping up to date with legal developments in the patent field.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Seattle Patent Agent position are required to have a Bachelor’s or advanced degree (, .) in a science or technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, physics, or another engineering-related discipline. Admission to practice before the USPTO is mandatory. Candidates should possess strong written and oral communication skills and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all contacts. Salary Information:
The compensation salary for the Seattle Patent Agent position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 per year.
