Job Title: Builder Real Estate Paralegal

Job Responsibilities:

A Real Estate Paralegal at the law firm is primarily responsible for providing comprehensive support during real estate closings. The role involves assisting attorneys and clients by preparing and reviewing legal documents, ensuring that all aspects of the closing process adhere to legal requirements and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities & Objectives:

Core Duties:
- Take extreme ownership of the file to ensure a smooth closing process.
- Ensure clear title and marked-up binder.
- Verify that all closing figures match the invoice and contract.
- Audit packages and files prior to closing.
- Ensure the package is sent in a timely manner to the correct closing location.
- Balance figures with the lender.
- Manage seller documents.
- Handle management of keys and closing locations.
- Ensure past orders report is clear.
- Oversee the fees not disbursed report.
- Manage client relationships with closing coordinators and lenders.
- Ensure calendar management matches the closing software.
- Send builder documents to the builder post-closing.
- Take ownership of closing errors/check requests.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for builder files, including buyers, agents, and builders.
- Perform pre-closing tasks as necessary.

Document Preparation:
- Draft and prepare legal documents related to real estate transactions, such as contracts, deeds, mortgages, and closing statements.

Reviewing Closing Documents:

Client Communication:

Financial Transactions:
- Handle the financial aspects of the closing, including disbursing funds, collecting payments, and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Compliance and Due Diligence:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and conduct due diligence to identify and address any potential legal issues.

Problem Resolution:
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the closing process to ensure a smooth and successful transaction.

Continued Education:
- Keep abreast of changes in real estate laws and regulations, attend trainings, and stay informed about industry best practices.
