Overview:
Hughes & Coleman Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Attorney to join our team. As an Attorney, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of injured clients by providing legal representation in personal injury claims. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to upholding ethical standards, has excellent communication and organizational skills, and is able to work independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the firm and its business
- Provide legal guidance and support to clients seeking help with personal injury claims
- Develop new business for the firm by building relationships with attorneys, physicians, and other referral sources
- Strategize and provide legal representation for clients in civil and criminal legal proceedings
- Stay informed about current legislation and case law
- Prepare legal documents accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and analyze potential cases to determine case value and insurance coverage
- Communicate with clients to understand their legal concerns and provide them with essential advice
- Direct support staff on case management and provide guidance and development as needed
Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Admittance to the bar in the region of jurisdiction (Kentucky, Tennessee, or New Mexico)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in personal injury law
- Ability to handle a high caseload and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in English, both orally and in writing
- Strong critical thinking and public speaking skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed
