Job Title: Manager, Global Medical and Healthcare Claims

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Senior Claims Examiners and Claims Examiners handling a wide variety of low to moderately high exposure bodily injury, primary and excess healthcare/medical malpractice claims.
- Report to the Director of Healthcare Claims and convey the organization’s objectives and priorities to staff, measuring progress towards stated goals.
- Confirm coverage of claims by reviewing policies and documents submitted in support of claims.
- Direct and monitor assignments of new loss activity for healthcare bodily injury claims.
- Review and approve correspondence and reports, including coverage position letters and Large Loss Reports.
- Review and approve reserves and settlements in excess of the authority of the handling specialist.
- Make recommendations concerning reserve changes to the Director or Senior Management.
- Participate in the review and discussion of large loss activity in the HPL book with interested stakeholders, including Underwriting, Actuarial, and Executive Management.
- Ensure team adherence to Fair Claims Practices regulations and internal performance objectives.
- Assess and evaluate individual specialist and team performance, provide feedback, and develop training needs.
- Prepare and distribute reports by collecting and summarizing information.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, evaluation of expenses, and assessment of resource needs.
- Foster and encourage strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Underwriting and Actuarial departments.
- Promote and enhance strong relationships with customers and channel partners.
- Participate in special projects as requested.
- Travel to other claim offices, mediations, trials, and conferences as required.

Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- JD, RN, other advanced degree, or focused technical degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years of claims handling experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of 5 years as a Senior Claims Specialist or Executive Claims Specialist is a plus.
- Must have or be eligible to receive a claims adjuster license.
- Successful achievement of industry designations such as INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, CPCU, or I-Lead or other Management Training.

Salary Information:
The base salary for the position is between $90,500 to $150,900 with a 25% bonus potential. The salary offered will be based on factors such as job-relevant education, experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.

Additional Information:
- US Work Authorization is required. The company does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
