Licensing, Contracts & Litigation Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The Licensing, Contracts & Litigation Specialist is tasked with managing all aspects of business and contractor licensing to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key responsibilities include:

- Licensing:
- Researching, preparing, and submitting license applications, renewals, and amendments across various jurisdictions.
- Maintaining a comprehensive tracking system for all active and pending licenses.
- Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring timely updates to company practices.
- Communicating with regulatory agencies, internal departments, and external partners to facilitate licensing processes.
- Coordinating with directors of construction, project managers, and field teams to ensure licensing requirements are met before starting new projects.
- Maintaining digital records of licenses, applications, correspondence, and related documents.
- Assisting in audits and inspections related to licensing compliance.
- Providing guidance to internal teams regarding licensing requirements and timelines.

- Litigation Support & Discovery Management:
- Organizing and coordinating responses to subpoenas, discovery requests, and document production.
- Working closely with outside counsel, project teams, and internal departments to gather necessary documentation and information.

- Contract Management:
- Evaluating and interpreting legal language, proposed changes, and redlines from third parties in alignment with company policies and risk tolerance.
- Drafting and recommending responses to legal comments in collaboration with internal legal counsel and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintaining standardized contract templates and assisting in updating clauses based on evolving legal standards and business needs.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a licensing, compliance, and legal support role is preferred, particularly in the construction or related industry.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for construction licensing across states is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently is crucial.
- Additional qualifications that stand out include experience with contractor licensing platforms or portals, experience in the construction or related industry, and Notary Public certification.

Salary Information:
The annual pay range for this position is $66,000 - $83,000. The base pay rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
