The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of benefits experience in private practice, with expertise in qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements. Supporting benefits and compensation in M&A, ERISA litigation, and withdrawal liability experience is a plus.
Job Overview: The Junior-Mid Level Benefits Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal support and counsel in the areas of benefits and compensation, with a focus on qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements. The candidate must be detail-oriented and possess excellent writing, oral advocacy, communication, and legal analysis skills.
Duties:
- Provide legal counsel and support in benefits and compensation matters
- Draft and review legal documents related to qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements
- Assist in supporting benefits and compensation in M&A transactions
- Handle ERISA litigation matters, if required
- Conduct legal research and analysis on benefits and compensation issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients on benefits and compensation projects
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and situations
Requirements:
