Job Description:

The Litigation Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing support to attorneys in a busy civil litigation environment. This position requires familiarity with docketing court rules, computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, excellent communication skills, and a professional, helpful, and “can do” attitude. Experience with law firm case management software is a plus.

Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support to attorneys
- Manage and organize case files
- Prepare and file legal documents
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
- Assist with trial preparation

Requirements:

- 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant
- Familiarity with Florida law
- Experience in guardianship, trust & probate litigation, civil litigation, and family law
- Knowledge of docketing court rules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional, helpful, and “can do” attitude
- Experience with law firm case management software is a plus

Work Location: On-site at our beautiful campus in North Tampa, FL

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Ability to commute/relocate: Must be able to reliably commute to Tampa, FL or relocate before starting work.
