Law Firm is seeking a Patent Agent with a background in engineering to join their Patents and Innovations Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML), or a related discipline.

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate invention disclosures from clients
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications
- Conduct landscape studies and analyze third party patents
- Collaborate with patent attorneys and receive formal and informal training
- Work with attorneys across multiple offices, serving US and international clients

Qualifications:

- Qualified to sit for the USPTO patent bar
- LSAT and plans to attend law school preferred
- Previous law firm or industry experience a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

- Salary range of $145,000 – $210,000

The Patents and Innovations Group at Law Firm is currently seeking a Patent Agent with a background in engineering to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring experience in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML), or a related discipline. Previous law firm or industry experience is a plus.

As a Patent Agent, you will have the opportunity to work with the firm's clients in all aspects of patent prosecution, including evaluating invention disclosures, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and conducting landscape studies. You will also have the chance to collaborate closely with patent attorneys, receive training and mentorship, and work with attorneys across multiple offices to serve both US and international clients.
