We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pro Bono Counsel to join our dynamic team of lawyers, paralegals, and business professionals. In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving forward our firm's strategic plan for pro bono practice and making a positive impact in our community. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement pro bono projects and initiatives - Screen requests for pro bono assistance from organizations and individuals - Match pro bono matters with appropriate staffing and professional development opportunities for our lawyers - Identify key impact litigation opportunities and supervise large-scale pro bono projects as part of your legal practice - Apply an understanding of immigration law when advising on immigration cases and as part of your legal practice - Maintain relationships with community organizations and corporate clients for pro bono work - Support internal and external communications for pro bono initiatives - Plan and oversee events to recognize pro bono service and engage stakeholders - Lead pro bono initiatives and develop innovative solutions to increase participation and engagement Qualifications: - Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university - At least 10 years of legal practice, with litigation experience preferred - Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills - Strong organizational and time management skills - Analytical and problem-solving skills - Profound understanding of various legal areas, including immigration law - Demonstrated ability to develop and supervise pro bono projects and initiatives - Strategic thinking to identify opportunities and solutions for enhancing pro bono participation - Relationship building skills to establish and maintain partnerships - Effective communication skills for internal and external communications - Collaboration with team members, departments, and international colleagues - Knowledge of risk management issues related to pro bono practice - Event planning experience - Data management proficiency - Leadership skills This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence 3 days per week. Salary is commensurate with experience and location, with a range of $200,000 - $300,000.
