Responsibilities:

Draft and review legal documents, including plan documents, amendments, and participant communications

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of employee benefits experience, with knowledge of retirement plans, health and welfare plans, Taft-Hartley benefit plans, and executive compensation. Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and provide analysis and recommendations on complex ERISA and employee benefits issues
- Draft and review legal documents, including plan documents, amendments, and participant communications
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of employee benefits matters
- Communicate with clients and internal team members on a regular basis to provide updates and progress reports
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Participate in client meetings and conference calls
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to provide comprehensive and effective legal solutions

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Active Florida bar license
- 3+ years of professional ERISA law practice experience
- Strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals
- Superior research skills, including the use of online services and databases
- Project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Physical Requirements:

- Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time
- Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to one hour per day
- Bending and stooping occasionally, up to one-half hour per day
