Senior Litigation Attorney - Join a Growing Law Firm in Rhode Island Job Summary: Marasco & Nesselbush, a well-respected law firm in Rhode Island, is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join our team. As a Senior Litigation Attorney, you will handle a file load of personal injury and medical malpractice cases, interact with clients, and advocate for them at depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trial. This role also involves conducting legal research, drafting demands, and negotiating successful resolutions on behalf of clients. What You'll Be Doing: - Personally handle a file load of personal injury and medical malpractice cases - Extensive client interaction including intake and subsequent communications - Prepare demands and negotiate successful resolutions on behalf of clients - Attend and advocate for clients at depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trial - Independently research, interpret and apply legal principles in the context of motion practice and litigation - Attend and participate in weekly team meetings relating to the evaluation and advancement of injury and malpractice cases - Work collaboratively with senior attorneys in litigating complex medical negligence and serious injury cases - Active involvement in all phases of client representation from intake, initial office conferences, case development, demand, negotiation, and resolution Qualifications: - Ten or more years of experience - Extensive experience in Medical Malpractice Litigation - Extensive experience in Serious Injury Litigation - Extensive experience in Complex Litigation - Strong academic credentials - Advanced analytical skills - Strong time management skills - Strong writing and oral communication skills - Strong legal research and writing skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Fully licensed to practice law in Rhode Island.
