Law Firm Seeking Experienced Supreme Court & Appellate Counsel

Orrick, a top-tier law firm, is seeking a highly experienced attorney to join our Supreme Court and Appellate (SCA) Group as Supreme Court Counsel. Our firm has a renowned appellate practice, with a deep bench of talented attorneys who have successfully argued before the . Supreme Court, federal courts of appeals, and state courts. We were recently named Law360's Appellate Group of the Year and are consistently recognized by leading legal directories. We are looking for a candidate with extensive Supreme Court and appellate litigation experience to help support and grow our Supreme Court practice.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with partners in the SCA Group to supervise, draft, and edit certiorari and merits stage briefing
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand the SCA Group's presence before the Court
- Manage and develop associates in the SCA Group regarding Supreme Court matters

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of appellate litigation experience, preferably with 10 or more years of experience
- Former Supreme Court and/or federal court of appeals clerk
- Superb writing, oral communication, and management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to develop and maintain client relationships
- Flexible or reduced-time schedule may be considered
- Position can be located at any of Orrick's offices, with preference for Washington, DC

Compensation and Benefits:
- Expected salary range between $345,000 and $430,000
