Legal Practice Assistant (Full-Time) - Virginia Beach

- Full-time position with Troutman Pepper, a law firm committed to employee support and advancement.
- Responsible for routine administrative tasks for attorneys and other timekeepers, including client billing, correspondence, and file maintenance.
- Support new client and business development efforts by opening and closing new matters and conducting conflict of interest checks.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to complete projects and tasks.
- Manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Arrange travel and create expense reports for attorneys.
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support role in a legal or professional services environment required.
- Experience in Consumer Financial Services preferred.
- Salary range: $50, - $70,, dependent on factors such as position, location, education, and experience.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine administrative tasks for attorneys and timekeepers.
- Support new client and business development efforts.
- Process expense reimbursements and invoices.
- Prepare and update reports and presentations.
- Handle client billing and maintain knowledge of billing requirements.
- Liaise with administrative departments to coordinate workflow support.
- Prepare correspondence, read and route mail, and conduct research.
- Provide coverage for phone contacts and routing of voicemail messages.
- Manage attorney calendars and prioritize meetings.
- Arrange domestic and international travel and create expense reports.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to complete projects.
- Provide overflow assistance to administrative legal support team.
- Foster an environment of superior customer service, collaboration, and trust.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support role in a legal or professional services environment.
- Experience in Consumer Financial Services preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide high-quality service.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of attorney and client information.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
