The law firm is currently seeking a Legal Practice Assistant to join their team in New York. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 and the opportunity for growth and advancement. The ideal candidate is a motivated, growth-minded, and creative individual with at least 2 years of experience in an administrative support role in a legal or professional services environment.

As a Legal Practice Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of routine administrative tasks, leveraging technology and partnering with other Legal Practice Assistants to meet attorney and practice group needs. You will also have the opportunity to support new client and business development efforts, process expense reimbursement requests and invoices, and assist with client billing. Additionally, you will have the chance to collaborate with resources inside and outside the firm, as well as foster an environment of superior customer service, collaboration, and trust.

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties of the position. You should also have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in Construction and real estate development practices is preferred.

Position Responsibilities:

- Perform routine administrative tasks for attorneys and other timekeepers
- Support new client and business development efforts
- Process expense reimbursement requests and invoices
- Prepare and update reports and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite
- Handle tasks related to client billing
- Liaise with administrative departments to coordinate workflow support for attorneys
- Prepare routine correspondence, read and route mail, conduct general research, and maintain files
- Provide coverage for phone contacts and routing of voicemail messages
- Manage attorney calendars and schedule meetings and events
- Arrange domestic and international travel and create expense reports
- Collaborate with internal and external resources on projects and tasks
- Provide overflow assistance to legal administrative support team
- Foster an environment of superior customer service, collaboration, and trust

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative support role in a legal or professional services environment
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience in Construction and real estate development practices preferred

Compensation:

- Salary range of $65,000 - $85,000
- Dependent on factors such as position, location, education, training, and experience
