Immigration Assistant - Job Description and Qualifications:

- Responsible for supporting attorneys and case managers in immigration and law matters
- Communicates with clients and provides guidance on proprietary systems and case processing
- Ensures compliance with client communication procedures and requirements
- Inputs client services rendered and manages case processing tasks
- Processes basic corporate immigration cases and escalates any concerns or delays to appropriate team members
- Utilizes templates and best practices to prepare documents for attorney review
- Manages status of filed applications and petitions and finalizes documents after attorney review
- Utilizes document and data management systems to prepare, monitor, and record all aspects of client casework
- Learns how to prepare internal caseload reports for management
- Performs research and initiates contact with government agencies to obtain necessary information
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and either a bachelor's degree or 2 years of related business experience
- Must have superb organizational skills and be able to follow instructions independently
- Ability to manage cases and work within strict timelines
- Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in MS Office and other software
- Must have a professional and respectful attitude towards coworkers
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required
- Able to prioritize and schedule multiple tasks with overlapping deadlines
- Must be able to occasionally travel within the region and to other locations as required

Working Conditions:

- Able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach on a daily basis
- Able to perform general office administrative activities
- Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Regular and on-time attendance is required
- Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week if needed
- May require occasional travel by conventional means
