The law firm of Foster Swift Collins & Smith is seeking an experienced Paralegal with a minimum of three years of experience in insurance defense to join our team in Grand Rapids. This is a great opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
- Managing cases and documents, including calendaring and ensuring deadlines are met
- Reviewing and summarizing case files, medical records, and other documents
- Preparing exhibits for deposition and trial
- Assisting in trial preparation and the trial process
- Conducting pre-trial investigations and case assessments
- Organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Acting as a liaison between trial teams and internal/external third parties
- Assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation

Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of paralegal experience in insurance defense
- Strong understanding of litigation concepts and strategies, as well as Michigan Court Rules
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and able to learn new systems and skills as needed
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
- Proactive and responsive to the needs of the practice group
- Able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
