Litigation Paralegal Duties: Provide attorney support with drafting and filing pleadings, affidavits, notices and motions. Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses. Calendar Court deadlines and maintain attorney calendars. Prepare foreclosure judgment packages and hearing packages pursuant to Judge and County requirements. Organize and index deposition and trial binders. Compile and organize deposition and trial exhibits. Capable of managing a case load of over 100 litigated files. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks Update client systems (LPS, TEMPO, VENDORSCAPE, SERENGETI) and the firm case management system with status updates and hearing results, as required. Review exception reports for escalated files. Oversee timeline management deadlines via Perfect Practice to ensure all files remain in compliance Review and advise on files for audits received by compliance for rebuttal and/or remediation. Responsible for providing monthly status reports for clients. Communicate with opposing parties, Judge’s Assistants and clients. Liaise between internal/external third parties. Any other responsibilities assigned by the Attorney and/or Manager, as applicable.
Qualification and Experience Qualifications: 3 + years’ experience with Foreclosure Litigation. Paralegal Certification preferred. Ability to work under pressure and ability to make decisions according to established guidelines. Work unsupervised and to accomplish tasks accurately and on a timely basis. Prioritize work; strong organization skills. Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to identify the needs of customers through effective questions and listening techniques. Handles customers and associates and their queries in a positive, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable manner, remembering that the customers’ satisfaction is a primary focus.
