Mergers and Acquisitions Resource Attorney The candidate will input deal terms from signed the firm's deals into the recently revamped Transaction Database and coordinating with the firm's knowledge management team to audit and maintain the database. Prepare drafts (or revising existing precedent) of template documents. Curate and organize the M&A group's forms, precedents and other know-how. Monitor legal and regulatory developments relative to M&A practice; prepare summaries and alerts regarding same; and ensure new legal requirements are reflected in the practice resources. Coordinate with the firm's legal education team to brainstorm content for associate trainings and other firmwide training efforts relative to M&A. Work closely with the M&A marketing team to strategize on firm promotion generally (including content for the M&A blog), and assist the marketing team with the creation of content for pitches and teach-ins (PPTs, articles, books etc.). Help field day-to-day requests from attorneys for precedents, templates, and other resources. Be involved in resource, knowledge management and practice innovation projects TBD. Handle all other duties as assigned or required. Must be a licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US M&A corporate/transactional practice. Should have a basic handle on public and private M&A, corporate governance, board fiduciary duties and market trends. Associate experience with M&A transactions, both public and private, should be transferable skill.
