Paralegal - Temporary Position H1: Join Our Legal Team as a Patent Paralegal H2: Temporary Role Available at Law Firm We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a temporary Patent Paralegal. As a member of our Health Sciences Intellectual Property Practice Section, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our firm's policies and procedures are followed while providing exceptional support to our clients and attorneys. This is a full-time position with flexible locations in Rochester, Pittsburgh, Boston, Philadelphia, and New York. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and follow-up on dates associated with the US and foreign docket - Clear daily docket reports in collaboration with the IP docket department - Work with attorneys to stay updated on rules and regulations for filing domestic and international applications - Create and forward formal documents to clients within specified timelines - Prepare administrative documents for USPTO patent filings - Receive and act upon client instructions - Review attorneys' client information and ensure addresses and special instructions are followed - Maintain client-specific spreadsheets and electronic worksheets for portfolio management - Provide support for Patent Trial and Appeal Board proceedings and appeals - Process assignments and name changes in the US and internationally - Draft routine correspondence and formal documents for filing at the USPTO - Maintain and prioritize daily workload - Utilize USPTO and other government agency electronic resources effectively - Provide support to other team members as needed Qualifications: - Minimum of 4 years of progressive patent prosecution experience - College degree or equivalent specialized training in paralegal studies - Familiarity with US and international patent law - Proficient in USPTO procedures and best practices - Ability to work under pressure and produce high-quality work with attention to detail - Flexibility to accept changing assignments and priorities - Strong organizational and administrative skills - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in Microsoft Office products Compensation: - Hiring salary range: - per hour - Dependent on factors such as position, location, education, and experience Troutman Pepper is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and values diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
