Join Our Team as an Experienced Litigation Paralegal

As an experienced Litigation Paralegal at our law firm, you will play a crucial role in supporting our talented attorneys before, during, and after trials. Your responsibilities will include preparing legal documents, conducting legal research and investigations, managing court filings, and assisting with trial preparation. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals.

Responsibilities of an Experienced Litigation Paralegal

- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and affidavits
- File court documents in state and federal court through e-filing systems
- Communicate with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals on behalf of attorneys
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations to support cases
- Assist with drafting discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses
- Serve summons and coordinate and summarize depositions
- Prepare trial binders and exhibits
- Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court
- Perform administrative duties such as calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
- Gather relevant information from various sources
- Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties
- Prepare witnesses for trial
- Assist with case settlements
- Complete other tasks as requested by attorneys

Qualifications for an Experienced Litigation Paralegal

- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
- 10+ years of litigation experience required
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred)
- Experience in Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, Premises Liability, or other injury-related practice areas (preferred)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, and legal practices
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive computer and database expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute

Salary Range and Experience

The salary range for this position is $65,000—$85,000 USD per year, based on experience. We are seeking a candidate with at least 10 years of litigation experience to join our team.
