Overview

Foley & Lardner, a leading law firm, is seeking a Director of Paralegals to oversee the firm's paraprofessional program across all three law departments - Business Law, Intellectual Property, and Litigation. This role will involve strategic planning, management of recruitment and training, performance evaluation, and compensation for the paraprofessional team.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain a firm-wide paraprofessional program for all three law departments, with a focus on client support
- Analyze and make recommendations for improvements to existing paraprofessional programs
- Implement innovative approaches to improve processes and client service
- Establish hiring criteria and development frameworks for consistent practices across departments
- Support professional development through onboarding, training, and knowledge management resources
- Address attorney and client support needs and create workflow coverage plans
- Monitor utilization and realization of paraprofessionals and adjust resources as needed
- Collaborate with legal departments and accounting & finance on paraprofessional billing rates
- Prepare and oversee budget for paraprofessional program

Salary Information

Pursuant to the CA Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act and New York City Human Rights Law, the expected salary range for this position is between $171,800 - $280,100. The actual offered amount will be determined based on factors such as education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley & Lardner.
