Summary:

- Legal Specialist II position in the LEG department at Elevance Health
- Full-time position with a hybrid work model (remote and office)
- Location: within 50 miles of Elevance Health PulsePoint locations
- Responsible for providing legal support services for multiple states, enterprise-wide functions, and/or complex litigation
- Prepares, analyzes, and evaluates legal documents such as contracts, legal memorandum, objections to subpoenas, regulatory filings, and pleadings
- Conducts legal research and analysis, and recommends appropriate course of action
- Monitors state and federal legislation affecting the corporation and assists with regulatory governance and compliance issues
- Attends and represents the company at legal proceedings and subsidiary company board meetings
- Minimum requirements: Paralegal Certification or AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field and 5 years of legal or related experience
- Preferred skills and experiences: creating multi-state surveys of laws and regulations, familiarity with insurance and healthcare-related laws and regulations, experience with the Affordable Care Act and provider contracts
