The Law Firm of Armstrong Teasdale LLP is seeking a highly motivated and organized Legal Assistant to join our Litigation department in California. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with 2-4 years of related experience to support our team of litigation timekeepers and ensure uninterrupted workflow in service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well within a team environment, and have a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and proofread all legal documents and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting
- Execute electronic court filings and download court pleadings
- Maintain client files, both paper and electronic, organizing and filing documents in designated order
- Conduct accounting tasks, such as processing expenses and entering time into the Firm's billing system
- Support trial preparation by maintaining and tracking case chronology
- Manage multiple calendars and scheduling systems
- Perform digital transcription tasks
- Assist in preparing discovery production and schedule depositions
- Conduct conflict checks and complete file opening process
- Coordinate and make travel arrangements
- Effectively track and manage CLE reporting
- Communicate effectively with clients and timekeepers on project updates and information

Qualifications:

- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
