Law Firm in Alpharetta, Georgia is seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of recent experience in Family Law and be proficient in legal software and document storage systems. The paralegal will be responsible for drafting all case documents, organizing service of process, engaging in the Discovery process, and maintaining attorney calendars and case files. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, be familiar with the Metro Atlanta court systems, and have experience with Georgia's e-filing systems and processes.
Salary:
The salary for this full-time position starts at $75,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Draft all case documents including Complaints, Answers, Motions, Responses, and Final Judgments
- Organize and complete service of process, even in difficult cases
- Submit documents to the court and effect service to other parties
- Engage in the Discovery process by drafting requests and responses, obtaining documents from clients, and organizing all discovery documents
- Maintain attorney case files, both electronic and paper
- Keep attorney calendars up to date with all court appearances, deadlines, and ticklers
- Maintain good relationships with clients and bill appropriately
- Analyze and assist clients with DRFAs and discovery responses
- Work independently to move cases through the legal process
- Use forward-thinking strategies to overcome difficulties in cases or with parties

Schedule:
This position requires a Monday to Friday schedule.
Supplemental Pay Types:

Education:
The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree, although a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience:
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working as a paralegal, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
