Law Firm in Indianapolis is seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our team. Our firm is dedicated to fighting for consumer rights and we need a strong administrative professional to help us in this mission. Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day operations of the law firm, including administrative tasks and supporting the legal team
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Implement and improve administrative processes for more efficient workflow
- Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents
- Research regulations, laws, and legal articles
- Manage client billing and resolve billing issues
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
- Manage and organize documents in paper or electronic filing systems

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree in paralegal studies, paralegal certificate, or bachelor's degree preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- At least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal
- Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Comp, Premises, or other injury related practice areas preferred
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Proficient in calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and typing speed of at least 35 wpm
