The healthcare industry is constantly evolving and facing legal challenges. As a Healthcare Litigation Paralegal at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cases and make a real impact in this dynamic field. With locations in both Philadelphia, PA and Princeton, NJ, our national law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced paralegal to join our team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Utilize extensive knowledge of civil procedure and local rules, particularly in California state and federal courts, to prepare and conform pleadings and discovery documents.
- Assist with discovery meet and confer communications and track progress.
- Provide support for a busy law and motion practice, including electronic court filings.
- Prepare for depositions and witness interviews, and create deposition summaries.
- Monitor case deadlines and ensure appropriate attorney coverage.
- Organize and manage case documents, including large document sets and productions.
- Review case records and create chronologies, including medical chronologies.
- Maintain an organized workflow within your area of responsibility.
- Effectively communicate with team members, attorneys, and clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings.

Required Education/Preferred Experience:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in commercial and/or healthcare litigation.
- Strong understanding and research skills in federal and California state court Rules of Civil Procedure and Court rules.
- Extensive experience with document management and e-discovery, including the use of Relativity and other litigation support applications.
- Proficiency in creating case chronologies and digests of medical records.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong multitasking, analytical, and detail-oriented abilities.
- Proven work ethic, reliability, and dependability.
- Proficiency in English language, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed (regular work hours are per week).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
