We are looking for Patent Agents to join our Law Firm in Houston and San Francisco.

## Qualifications

* A . or . focused in (a) one or more of cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, virology, or a related technical field; or (b) one or more of chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacy, or equivalent discipline is required
* Broad technical knowledge and experience conducting prior art searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses, analyzing patents and scientific papers to assist with patent preparation, prosecution and counseling is preferred
* Excellent academic record and written and verbal communication skills including fluency in English is required
* Graduate and undergraduate transcripts and a writing sample will be required

## Responsibilities

* Provide patent prosecution services, patentability and freedom to operate opinions, patent portfolio management, and other patent-related services
* Analyze scientific papers to assist with patent preparation, prosecution and counseling
* Draft patent applications, responses to office actions, and other patent correspondence
* Assist with patent portfolio management, patent litigation, patent licensing, and other patent-related services
* Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other professionals
