- Minimum 4-6 years of prior associate-level experience in general litigation

Join our team at Locke Lord, a top-ranked law firm in Providence, Rhode Island, as a Litigation Associate. Our Business Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group is seeking highly qualified candidates with 4-6 years of prior associate-level experience in general litigation. This is a lateral position and will be based in our Providence office.

As a Litigation Associate at Locke Lord, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex commercial and business-related disputes. You will provide effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys, as well as conduct thorough factual and legal research and analysis. In addition, you will draft pleadings and other case documents, attend hearings throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and manage cases from start to finish.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong writing and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to learn new legal topics quickly. You should also be familiar with federal and state court practice and procedures, and have experience managing cases from start to finish. A degree and active license in good standing in Rhode Island (and Massachusetts, if possible) are required.

We offer a competitive base salary range of $270,000 - $320,000 for Rhode Island based candidates, with the actual salary determined by factors such as class year, years of experience, skills, qualifications, office location, and anticipated annual billable hour targets.
