**Job Title:** Patent Agent / Technology Specialist – Mechanical, Biomedical, or Aerospace Engineering

**Salary Range:** $160,000 to $180,000 per year

**Locations:** Boston, Denver, New York, Washington .

**Experience:** At least 3 years of patent prosecution experience

**Education:** . or . in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred

**Overview:** Foley Hoag's Intellectual Property Department is seeking a Patent Agent or Technology Specialist with a background in mechanical, biomedical, or aerospace engineering. This individual will have at least three years of patent prosecution experience and can be located in any of our US offices.

**Responsibilities:**

- Represent a variety of technology companies, ranging from startups to the Fortune 500, in patent prosecution matters
- Work closely with associates and partners on patent strategy, drafting, prosecution, and diligence matters
- Gain a depth of experience in a broad range of patent-related tasks
- Have immediate client contact and responsibility
- Take and pass the USPTO registration exam within one year of being hired if not already a registered patent agent

**Requirements:**

- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- . or . in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- Familiarity with USPTO eligibility criteria
