Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice and guidance on labor relations matters, including labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, collective bargaining, union campaigns, and other related issues.
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Conduct legal research and analysis on labor law issues.
Communicate and negotiate with clients, opposing counsel, and government agencies.
Advise and assist clients in developing and implementing effective labor relations strategies.
Attend meetings, hearings, and negotiations on behalf of clients.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
Maintain expertise in labor and employment law and keep abreast of changes and developments in the field.
Participate in business development and marketing efforts to expand the firm’s labor relations practice.

Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctor degree and 5+ years of experience in labor law.
Experience representing employers in labor relations matters.
Strong analytical and writing skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience in a law firm setting preferred.
Active license to practice law in good standing.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in collective bargaining and union campaigns.
Strong academic record.
Familiarity with employment law and litigation.
Prior business development and marketing experience.
Experience working with diverse clients and promoting diversity in the legal profession.

Salary Information:

For the New York City position, the expected salary range is between $220,000 and $260,000.
For the California position, the expected salary range is between $230,000 and $270,000.
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
