Job Title: Litigation Docket Specialist (California and Asbestos-Specific Docketing)
Experience: 3-5 years of litigation docketing experience and knowledge of California litigation and asbestos practice preferred
Location: Multiple locations across the United States (position may be filled remotely or in any of the firm's locations)

Responsibilities:
- Independently docket for designated assignment group (multiple offices and/or practice groups)
- Review and comprehend documents submitted to ensure all deadlines are identified and docketed
- Review court and/or agency dockets as needed
- Verify jurisdiction, court/venue, and relevant authorities
- Verify accuracy of docketed items and deadlines generated
- Create, review, and distribute accurate matter reports
- Research statutory, agency, court, and individual judges’ rules and practices and apply appropriately
- Respond professionally and constructively to requests from timekeepers and staff regarding docketed dates, agency and court rules and procedures
- Collaborate with the Litigation Docket Manager to continually improve the firm’s docketing best practices, policies and processes
- Remain current with developments, procedures and rules in courts and agencies within the designated assignment group
- Assist Docket Team with special projects as needed

Qualifications:
- 2-year degree or Paralegal Certificate; 4-year degree preferred in related field preferred; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required
- 3-5 years litigation docketing experience with specific experience using CompuLaw Vision preferred
- 3-5 years litigation experience in various federal and state courts that included calculating and calendaring deadlines
- Strong knowledge of California litigation and asbestos practice
- Strong knowledge of litigation process, court rules and procedures
- Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local court systems, as well as administrative and government agencies
- Ability to research and apply statutory/agency and/or court rules and procedures for any jurisdiction
- Ability to use , PacerPro and other legal resources and websites to obtain case dockets, rules, and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and internet research; ability to prepare, export, edit, filter, sort, search, and reformat large spreadsheets within Excel
