Responsibilities and Requirements

As an ERISA/Benefits Associate Attorney at Shumaker, you will have the opportunity to engage in sophisticated and challenging work for clients across the country. Our ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school, an active bar license, and 5+ years of professional ERISA law practice experience. In addition, we are looking for someone with strong technological skills, superior research abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to manage complex cases, prioritize deadlines, and maintain confidentiality are also essential for success in this role.

In-Person or Remote Work Options

This position can be located in-person at any of our offices in Charleston, South Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina; Akron, Columbus, or Toledo, Ohio; Minneapolis, Minnesota; or Sarasota or Tampa, Florida. We also offer the option for remote work for those who prefer a more flexible schedule.
