Pre-Suit Paralegal: A Key Role in the Fight for Consumer Rights

Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a highly organized and customer-oriented Pre-Suit Paralegal or Case Manager to join their team in Southfield, Michigan. Responsibilities of the Pre-Suit Paralegal include providing proactive daily interaction with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers, as well as ordering medical records and obtaining necessary documents to support injury and liability positions. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of legal or insurance adjuster experience, as well as strong multitasking, organizational, and negotiation skills.

Key Duties and Qualifications:

- Provide proactive, daily interaction with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers
- Order medical records and communicate with providers during course of treatment
- Obtain necessary documents to support injury and liability positions
- Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers and deductions of outstanding medical balances with providers
- Work directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files
- Maintain organized case files and prepare comprehensive demands for submission to carriers
- Interact with attorneys and present case synopsis when required
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of legal or insurance adjuster experience preferred
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and negotiation skills required
- Proficient knowledge of legal procedures and documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Winning attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
