Job Title: Paralegal II - Trademark Prosecution Salary: Not mentioned in text, but can be found on company website. Experience: 5 or more years of experience in trademark prosecution work. Department: Intellectual Property group Essential Job Functions: - Conduct trademark searches and analyze results for clearance analysis. - Manage all types of filings at the USPTO and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. - Prepare cost estimates for trademark clearance, prosecution, and maintenance. - Analyze chain of title information and prepare appropriate assignments and maintenance documents. - Draft IP assignments and security agreements. - Review and ensure proper execution of IP assignments. - Prepare recordation cover sheets and electronic filings for documents to be recorded at USPTO or Copyright Office. - Arrange for legalization of assignments in foreign trademark and patent offices. - Monitor and maintain trademark prosecution docket for due dates. - Draft trademark applications, affidavits, maintenance and renewal filings, and assignment agreements. - Communicate with and manage foreign trademark counsel and agents. - Train and manage more junior paralegals. - Experience in Blue Book and Cite Checking is a plus. Other Functions: - Any other functions/duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Requirements: - 5 or more years of experience in trademark prosecution work. - Knowledge of USPTO and TTAB rules and procedures. - Familiarity with international trademark filing procedures. - Strong research and communication skills. - Excellent analytical and organizational skills. - Bachelor's degree preferred. - Overtime and travel may be required. Technologies/Software: - Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SAEGIS and other search platforms (., Thomson Compumark), and trademark docketing software. Certificates, Licensures, Registrations: - Bachelor's degree preferred. Work Environment: - Professional office environment.
