Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains case files, prepares documents for production and organizes and maintains case or other files
Updates and maintains databases
Prepares closing books, obtains information from internal and external sources and performs other administrative tasks
Assists paralegals and/or attorneys
Liaises with accounting, timekeeping, and attorneys to gather necessary information for audit letter responses
Assists in the preparation of diverse legal documents, from forms and charts to letters
Prepares binders, closing books and makes copies
Performs data entry and file maintenance
Engages in database research
Supports real estate and corporate closings, obtaining vital documents and information from cities, municipalities, or public agencies
Assists paralegals and attorneys with mailings and filings

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma
One year of office experience
Basic knowledge in MS Word and Excel
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines

Preferred Requirements:

Undergraduate degree and/or a paralegal certificate
1 year of experience in a law firm supporting paralegals and/or attorneys
Experience supporting a litigation practice group
Proficient in MS Outlook
Database experience
