Employment Investigator - Conducting Prompt, Thorough, and Fair Investigations at Meta Meta is currently seeking an Employment Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting investigations into various employment-related matters. You will work closely with our Employment Law, HR, and Employee Relations teams to ensure that all investigations are handled in a prompt, thorough, and fair manner. As an Employment Investigator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment for all employees at Meta. Responsibilities: - Manage complex employment-related investigations, including intake meetings, background research, interviews, and debrief meetings. - Collaborate with cross-functional partners within Employment Law, HR, Employee Relations, Security, and Internal Audit. - Investigate complaints involving violations of law or policy, such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and privacy concerns. - Utilize data to identify systemic issues and develop long-term solutions. - Communicate effectively with all relevant parties throughout the investigation process. - Remain respectful and empathetic in difficult and uncomfortable situations. Requirements: - 5+ years of experience conducting investigations in multiple jurisdictions. - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. - Ability to work independently and make sound judgments. - Excellent relationship management skills in a cross-functional environment. - Experience documenting findings and presenting recommendations to leadership. - Knowledge of labor and employment law. Preferred Qualifications: - Juris Doctorate or advanced degree in a relevant field. - Experience in identifying legal issues. - Project management experience. - Formal training and/or certification in investigations. - Experience in conducting facilitation and/or mediations.
