We also have extensive experience interacting with newer regulators, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and self-regulatory organizations like FINRA and national securities exchanges.

As a Consumer Finance Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on complex regulatory, supervisory, and enforcement challenges facing financial institutions today. This includes advising on permissible structures and activities, anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance, electronic banking and commerce, and corporate governance. Additionally, you will help our financial institution clients ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, advise on risk management and internal investigations, and counsel on regulatory engagement and remediation of supervisory findings and enforcement actions.

To be considered for this position, candidates should have three to six years of post-JD experience and be familiar with enforcement actions before the CFPB, FTC, and other federal agencies. Experience with regulations related to retail banking, lending, and FinTech companies is also preferred.

To qualify for this position, candidates must have a Juris Doctor and be licensed to practice law in the state/jurisdiction where the position is based. Strong writing skills, analytical abilities, and a willingness to contribute positively to a collaborative work environment are also required.
