Are you an experienced legal assistant looking for a new challenge? A law firm is now hiring a Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to attorneys and other professionals. The successful candidate will demonstrate a professional appearance, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner.

Responsibilities:

Answer phones professionally and route calls as necessary
Greet clients and visitors with a positive and helpful attitude
Set-up meetings, conference calls, etc.
Process . mail, Fed-Ex, and certified mail
Maintain both hard copy and electronic files
Order supplies, ensure copiers and printers are stocked with paper, maintain cleanliness of conference rooms and common kitchen area, update the postage meter, sort and distribute mail and packages, bind, copy, scan and fax documents as applicable
Revise documents and short letters as applicable
Submit Conflict Checks & New Business Memos as directed by the attorney
Process/submit check requests
Process billing for each attorney on a monthly basis
Process/submit expenses for the attorneys
Make arrangements for depositions as needed
Process paper and/or electronic filings with many different types of courts
Proofread documents

Skills & Competencies:

Professional communication and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
Excellent client service skills
Flexibility and the ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands
Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of five years of experience
Experience at a law firm or professional services firm is preferred
Proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
