Meta is seeking an experienced Employment Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting investigations into employment-related matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other inappropriate behaviors. You will work closely with cross-functional partners in Employment Law, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Security, and Internal Audit to ensure prompt, thorough, and fair investigations are conducted. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting investigations in multiple jurisdictions and be able to work effectively across geographical and cultural boundaries. This is a remote position, but you will be expected to manage investigations across Meta office locations within the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. As an Employment Investigator at Meta, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company culture by identifying systemic issues and recommending long-term solutions. You will also have the opportunity to deliver compliance education programs and training to address workplace issues proactively. We are looking for someone with a high degree of empathy and the ability to provide direct feedback and confront witnesses with difficult information. You must also be able to articulate your findings and recommendations to leadership and other relevant parties. Employment Investigator Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough investigations into employment-related matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other inappropriate behaviors. - Work independently and prioritize tasks while exercising good judgment. - Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure prompt, thorough, and fair investigations are conducted. - Identify systemic issues and use data to develop long-term solutions. - Communicate effectively with all relevant parties throughout the investigative process. - Remain respectful and empathetic in difficult and uncomfortable situations. Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience conducting investigations in multiple jurisdictions. - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. - Strong relationship management skills in a cross-functional environment. - Experience documenting and presenting investigation findings and recommendations. - Problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. - Flexible and adaptable to a rapidly changing environment. - 5+ years of experience in employment-related matters. Preferred Qualifications: - Juris Doctorate or advanced degree in a relevant field. - Experience in identifying legal issues. - Project management experience. - Formal training and/or certification in investigations. - Experience in conducting facilitation and/or mediations. - Experience in labor and employment law.
