Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal - Manage Client Portfolios in US and Foreign Prosecution Salary Information: - Minimum of $60,000 per year - Maximum of $100,000 per year Job Title: Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal Experience: Minimum of 5 years in international, PCT, and US prosecution required Department: Intellectual Property (Patent) Paralegal Overview: - Responsible for managing client portfolios in both US and foreign prosecution - Create, revise, and file all prosecution documents for US and PCT applications - Correspond with foreign associates regarding all aspects of foreign prosecution - Timely reporting of official correspondence to clients - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required - Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products and comfort with technology essential - Must be able to work independently and in a team environment - Strong customer service orientation and communication skills necessary to interact with all levels of personnel and clients Responsibilities: - Support intellectual property attorneys to provide excellent service to clients - Prepare and file, or instruct, on all aspects of US, PCT, and foreign prosecution - Draft formality documents and attend to document legalization - Comply with priority document requirements - Review and maintain a docket of associated deadlines for assigned clients - Timely report official communications to clients and foreign associates - Consistently achieve 1500 billable hour requirement, including approved non-billable time - Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years' experience in international, PCT, and US prosecution required - High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred - Must meet requirements to be a Paralegal as defined by the State of California if residing in California - Thorough knowledge of USPTO patent procedural requirements Foley Offers: - Comprehensive benefits program including Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, 401(k) Retirement, Disability and Life insurance, Adoption Assistance, and Backup Care for Dependents Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer/M/F/Vet/Disabled.
