Law Firm is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal - Medical Malpractice

The Law Office of Ligori & Ligori is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for a full-time position in Tampa, Florida. This position requires prior experience in handling Medical Malpractice, nursing home, and ALF neglect and abuse cases.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with scheduling depositions, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations as needed.
Prepare cases for trial and attend with attorneys throughout the trial.
Assist with organizing, drafting, reviewing, and filing Requests for Admissions, Requests for Production, and Interrogatories to opposing parties.
Managing, drafting, and reviewing discovery responses timely and efficient.
Preparation of other Pleadings, Motions, Complaints, and Orders, under the supervision of attorneys, as needed.
Maintain and follow up on all Non-Party production documents including Requests for Copies and non-party logs.
Provide legal support to personal injury attorneys and other paralegal staff.
Knowledge of the E-filing system on both the State and Federal levels.
Draft and review Civil Remedies Notices.
Contact clients, judges, and opposing counsel.

Qualifications:

Two or more years experience as a Florida Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal.
Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP).
Experience in preparation of cases for trial.
Attending Trial with attorneys and assisting throughout the trial.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Self-starter and self-motivated, able to meet deadlines.
Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
Exemplary tenure with previous employers.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.

Salary: $70,, per year. Plus, potential for monthly bonuses.
Vacation: 1 week paid vacation after 6 months; 2 weeks paid vacation after one year; 3 weeks of paid vacation after two years.
