Job Title: Trademark Legal Administrative Assistant Experience: 2-4 years Salary: Competitive Department: Intellectual Property Job Summary: The Trademark Legal Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to attorneys in the Intellectual Property department of a law firm. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as previous experience in a law firm setting. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role, requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Job Responsibilities: - Write, proofread, and file legal documents and correspondence - Prepare time-sensitive client reporting letters and filings for USPTO submissions - Maintain physical and electronic files for IP matters - Review and report on daily USPTO communications - Assist with client intake and file opening process - Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to appropriate staff members - Schedule appointments and maintain contacts - Manage deadlines and calendars - Operate office equipment and utilize various computer software Other Job Duties: - Attend staff meetings - Assist other administrative assistants with workload - Stay updated on job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional publications - Accomplish organization goals by taking ownership of new tasks and exploring opportunities to add value Requirements: - Strong research and reporting skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to maintain relationships with clients and co-workers - Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills - Dependable and reliable - Bachelor's degree preferred, minimum high school diploma required - 2-4 years of administrative support experience in a law firm, previous trademark experience required Physical Requirements: - Regular standing and walking, up to two hours per day - Sitting position for up to six hours per day - Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds - Regular bending and stooping, up to one hour per day Salary Information: The salary for this position is competitive and will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
