Position Overview:

- Conduct legal research and prepare trial documents.

- Prepare closing documents for settlements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft and file pleadings, including summonses, complaints, and bills of particulars.
- Manage a diverse case load at various litigation stages, including trial preparation.
- Support client intake, initiate file, and maintain communication.
- Respond to discovery demands, orders, and expert exchanges.
- Draft discovery-related motions and correspondence.
- Prepare closing documents, including compromise orders and settlement releases.

Requirements:

- 3+ years’ experience as a plaintiff-side medical malpractice paralegal.
- In-depth knowledge of legal procedures, regulations, and New York court systems.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and case management software.
- Discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

Compensation: $60,000-$85,000 per year plus bonus, commensurate with experience.
