Job Responsibilities:

- Translation of documents and communication between Spanish-speaking clients and the legal team
- Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling, organizing case files, and managing logistics
- Maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes for efficient case management
- Organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Implementing and improving administrative processes for a more efficient workflow
- Collecting, examining, and organizing evidence and legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents
- Conducting research on regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with case preparation
- Managing client billing and resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney
- Communicating with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
- Managing and organizing documents in paper or electronic filing systems

Qualifications:

- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree in paralegal studies, paralegal certificate, or bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal
- Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, premises liability, or other injury-related practice areas preferred
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer and database expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Minimum typing speed of 35 wpm
