Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a Trusts and Estates Legal Assistant at Day Pitney in Boca Raton, FL include:

- Independently performing a full range of administrative support tasks
- Typing, editing, formatting, and proofreading a variety of moderate to complex documents
- Managing and organizing files, both digital and paper
- Assembling documents for electronic filing with courts and agencies

- Editing billing narratives and ensuring compliance with firm time entry standards
- Managing the administrative aspects of client/matter intake and management
- Utilizing firm tools to locate information, such as timekeeper billing rates and non-billable time recording standards
- Conducting basic research, as needed
- Collaborating with other timekeepers and legal assistants to complete assignments and meet deadlines
- Reminding timekeepers of deadlines and anticipating their needs
- Anticipating and meeting client needs
- Entering trust client information into the PCD Trust Account Profile database
- Serving as a witness and/or Notary Public at a client's signing of original documents
- Delegating work to other firm resources as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:
