In this role, you will be responsible for advising employers on all aspects of qualified retirement plans, non-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, fringe benefits, and executive compensation arrangements. You will also provide practical and business-oriented advice to clients on compliance with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and securities laws.

As an ERISA Partner, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including publicly traded entities, private companies, government employers, non-profit entities, and religious organizations. You will also have the chance to consult on legal issues related to mergers and acquisitions and educate clients on legislative and regulatory developments.

Responsibilities:

- Design, draft, and consult on legal issues involving executive compensation, severance and executive equity plans
- Assist clients with matters related to the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC)
- Advise clients on benefit plan and executive compensation issues in mergers and acquisitions
- Counsel on the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of employee benefit plans
- Educate clients on legislative and regulatory developments and assist in designing solutions
- Draft and interpret defined contribution and defined benefit plans
- Consult on legal issues involving the administration and compliance of health and welfare and fringe benefit plans, including the ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA
- Develop new clients and business contacts

Requirements:

- . from an ABA accredited school
- Admitted to practice in Colorado or ability to be admitted to the Colorado bar
- 10+ years of experience in qualified retirement plans, employee benefit plans in mergers and acquisitions, ESOPs, executive compensation, fringe benefits, and/or health and welfare plans
- Strong work ethic, entrepreneurial attitude, high level of attention to detail, and exemplary client service skills
